Brief：The uncoated ZnSe window film operates in the wavelength range from visible light (600 nm) to infrared (16.0μm) band, and has a high transmittance in the whole band range. See transmittance curve for details. The low absorption of zinc selenide makes this material suitable for applications in He-Ne lasers (HeNe) at 633 nm and high-power carbon dioxide lasers at 10.6 μm. Zinc selenide is a harmful and irritating substance. Frequent direct contact with the skin can cause dermatitis. It is easily decomposed by acid and gives off harmful hydrogen selenide gas. It can stimulate human eyes and respiratory mucosa. Be sure to wear a filter dust mask, chemical safety glasses and impermeable overalls during operation.
